Some pictures from last night - taken by Andrew's wife Caroline - with captions from Andrew Taylor. All present had a good time. Snippets of information on the authors to come in a later post.

Before the battle, the garrison musters behind its impregnable ramparts; morale is high, which given the strength of the defences and the nature of the besieging army is not altogether surprising.
In the heat of battle, the defence's elite special forces work with furious frowning concentration, doing what they do best.
The intrepid photographer catches the precise moment that Bernard knocks one of the invaders off his scaling ladder with a blunt instrument (note blood-stained pen just visible in his left hand); meanwhile Roger is about to load another missile into his literary trebuchet (out of shot), and Andrew is calibrating the range on his handheld table-to-floor nuclear biro launcher.
LOL Clare, I think Andrew took poisoned pens to another level with his comment "...and Andrew is calibrating the range on his handheld table-to-floor nuclear biro launcher". If anyone is thinking of a spoof series of Spooks they should hire him for the scripts!
