As we enter the month of November there will be a guest blog post from US author Dennis N. Griffin who will be talking about his book on Cullotta, the Chicago criminal, Las Vegas mobster and latterly government witness. Dennis is well primed to bring a book that has sorted the wood from the trees on such a topic as this, as he has a long career in the investigative world behind him. You may wonder at the name "Cullotta", but it's useful to note that the movie "Casino" was about Cullotta and his associates. After the fiction come the facts of life...
US crime fiction author Michael Simon will also be guest blogging later in November. His latest novel The Last Jew Standing is out now in the US.
Novels coming up include:
- The Noble Outlaw from Bernard Knight (medieval crime)
- Go to Helena Handbasket from Donna Moore (comic crime)
- The Chameleon's Shadow from Minette Walters (psychological thriller)
- The Bethlehem Murders from Matt Rees (very original).
Author interviews before the end of the year include:
- Elena Forbes
- L. C. Tyler
- Donna Moore
- Bernard Knight
- John Lawton.
Some of these might run into 2008, but I aim to impart knowledge before Christmas Day as the Christmas stocking should be filled with good presents, yes?
And speaking of Christmas, what would the crime fiction aficionado be thrilled to find in his/her Christmas stocking? I'll be asking a few crime fiction aficionados and writers that very question and posting their answers here.
Now for the beauty of a night's sleep with an extra hour courtesy of the clocks going back in the UK. More time to read...
