News just in from the Harrogate Crime Writing Festival:

Allan Guthrie was the recipient of this year's Theakston's Old Peculier Prize tonight, as voted by the general reading public, reading groups and crime aficionados.

Thanks to the ever-on-the-ball and mobile-text-express Karen from Eurocrime for letting us all know!

And congrats to Allan Guthrie!

Harrogate Crime Writing Festival I'll be back with some blog posts next week, having managed to attend about half of the Harrogate Crime Writing Festival if all goes well with the trains tomorrow evening... Update: I've just spotted that Karen at Eurocrime has said I'll be joining her at Harrogate tomorrow in a post on her blog. The Harrogate Crime Writing Festival Just back from the Harrogate Crime Writing Festival after quite a cross country trek due to the adverse weather conditions. Train cancellations meant that my route up had to change, but thanks to mobile phones and Clare Dudman (saviour of the day on Friday evening when trying to work out connections), I did manage to get there late on Friday night after the last event.
