Competition between the Welsh and the English has always been high when it comes to rugby. It's also a matter of honour when it comes to playing against England on home soil. But today they've done it!
Wales has just beaten England at Cardiff's Millennium Stadium 27-18 in the Six Nations.
Congratulations Wales!
You know, I don't even think I could name all six nations in the Six Nations, but your enthusiasm is infectious nonetheless.
Well done, Wales!

Objectivity, um well although I was born in London I left at the age of two weeks [not on my own] and spent the next 18 months in North Wales. Which means I can support Wales when they win, and also that I don't mind rain and bad weather, convenient in Devon.
I shared a flat during the sixties with two guys from Pontypool, and a Jamaican. I seem to remember these were times of almost total domination by Welsh rugby and the West Indies cricket team only mitigated by the World Cup win in 1966. Happy Days!

Darn it, I've learned it is shoo-in, not shoe-in, via Petrona. My fingers quicker than my brain.

Congratulations, Wales. When I was a girl, Wales always won as a matter of course (JPR et al). But they aren't such a shoe-in now, are they? I feel quite OK about whoever wins as I'm half English, quarter Irish and quarter Welsh (my mother was born in Wales; her mother's maiden name was Jones). My sister Delta takes care of the Scottish bit for the family. So, just as long as the French aren't on form....let the best team on the day win.

Thanks for your objectivity, Norm.
I popped out to the local shop earlier and I could hear cheers in the distance. Wales is definitely celebrating tonight!
What a good day!
And commiserations, by the way.

And a very well deserved win it was, Rhian.
