You may notice a new banner on this site. It was designed and created by Jenny, daughter of Maxine at Petrona. Jenny also created her mother's banner. Another fine banner from this creative young lady!
UK-based reader of crime fiction for many years.
That's marvellous!! I utterly love it!!

Maxine,
Thanks again to Jenny!
Kevin,
I also rather like the colours and the way some of the characters are quite sharp. It has an edgy feel, I think.

Yep, the new banner does look good. The cliché use of newspaper/magazine characters works - sort of double bluff. It is almost as if to use a cliché in this way it ceases to be a cliché - so I suppose I have just blown my own arguement out of the water. Dunno. Anyway, it sits happily at the top of this fine blog!

Hey, isn't it great, Crimeficreader? (Though I say it myself). We did get a bit worried when she finished it, though, as we thought you might feel you have to use it out of politeness. So please don't feel you have to leave it up there for ever if you get fed up with it. But I have to say -- I do like it, I think it suits your blog really well and better than that standard typepad heading....and of course I am not at all biased.
