Hiatus

There will definitely be a hiatus in posts as I'm travelling quite a lot this week.

If I'm still awake I will be at Hay on Wye on Saturday and I'll let you know how that goes next week (if the travelling subsides).   I also hope to be able to tell you about "The Corrupted" from Dennis Lewis by then.

The State Within - episode 4 of 6 I managed to catch some, but not all of this episode last night. No doubt I'll catch up with the rest on the weekend. I suspect I'm going to need a trowelled on Christie style "summing up" scene in episode six in order to work out what's been going on. But the muddy waters of episode one have become frosted glass by episode four and that's the beauty of this series as the plot moves on. The Literary Review's Bad Sex in Fiction Award 2006 It's that time of year again. I tend to find the extracts from the shortlisted authors' novels rather funny and it's good to have a laugh (when not cringing). But first, congratulations to this year's winner: debut novelist Iain Hollingshead, aged 25 becomes the youngest winner of this not-so-esteemed award (depending on how you look at it) for his novel "Twenty Something".
