Mr Tribe, I agree, it's not a bad thing. In fact, The Passport Office and the DVLA (for driving licenses, here in the UK) are happy to agree also. These dreaded empires of officialdom like to pin me down and facilitate the odd police authority's quest into applying points and fines for speedy driving. They can trace me in the officialdom world.
I'd just hoped to have some freedom in "blog world" and the ability to remain anonymous. But I also knew that it was a question of time before my ID came out...
Now it's happened, I am forced into "getting used to it", but I am, honestly, getting used to it.
