Received by email and I can't see it on the website, so I've pasted it in here for you:
You might want to check your pasta isn’t laced with poison or cyanide is in the soup! Uniquely, at this year’s Festival we’re offering you the chance to dine with some of the finest crime writers around.
Exclusively at the Festival’s venue, The Old Swan Hotel in Harrogate, we’re holding a sit down two- course meal with wine for under £20. Our crime authors will mingle amongst the fine diners and get to know you over the hors d’oeuvres.
Nicci Gerrard and Natasha Cooper, Sean French, Mark Billingham and Simon Kernick will all be dropping in to spice up your starters, along with crime critic Peter Guttridge, and many more!
Agatha Christie famously stayed at the hotel making it the perfect place to discuss all things crime over canapés.
If the idea of chit chatting with the glittering literati doesn't get your mouth watering then the menu will - Char-grilled gammon steak with a sweet pineapple, honey and chilli jus, Poached fillet of salmon with a white wine and asparagus velouté, baked breast of Chicken with oyster mushrooms and sherry cream. Hmmm.
And for desert Chocolate & Orange Marquise with a raspberry coulis, Rich Baileys Bavarois with fruit compôte or Tangy Lemon Tart with a strawberry coulis, with two glasses of vino to wash it all down, all for just £19.50!
Go on! It would be a crime not to.
To confirm, the dinner will take place on the evening of Saturday 22nd July at 6.15pm. It’s an early dinner so people can still attend the evening events. Cost is £19.50 per head for a two course dinner with two glasses of wine. Why not round up your friends and book a table for 8?
To reserve your table phone (01423) 562303, or email us at crime@harrogate-festival.org.uk

Note - you may as well ring as they'll want your credit card details to confirm the booking. (And sending them by email is not a secure method.)
Booked it!
PS for Nicci French afficiados. There seems to have been a Trade Paperback of a new book entitled "Losing You", published in March 2006, and suddenly popping up on a certain well-know website as available to order...At only four months after their last hardbackk novel, not sure where this one has sprung from!
