Roger,
My pleasure, Roger!
Try Alan Johnson, the latest Secretary of State for Education. (They do seem to change quite frequently, don't they?)
Nothing I've read, absolutely nothing comes as close to letting you know what it's like to work in a corporate office as "Taking Comfort" does (and working in the City too). Plus there's a fast pace and a few thrills and chills to move the reader along.

Well, thank you so much for the wonderful review, cfr. I must say I like the idea of making the book required reading for university and school leavers. Who do I speak to to arrange that, I wonder?

Maxine, thanks for your interest. I'm pleased to have made it as far as your basket. Some of the books will be coming out in a paperback edition, but I don't know whether mine will make the cut. I perfectly understand your reluctance to buy the hardback - I don't have many hbs myself. One suggestion that I'm always putting to people is to get the book from the library. Quite a few libraries have taken the mnw books. If your local one doesn't have it, pester them to order it, then it's another sale to me!!! Really, it's readers more than buyers that I'm interested in.

No idea about the PB Maxine, but I suspect Roger will drop by and read the comments and hopefully answer you.

Thanks for the review, Crimefic. This is one of the Macmillan new fiction books and I've had it listed in my Amazon basket for a while. Was not sure whether to go for it (will it every come out in pb do you know?) but you are persuasive.
